I’m Chris Wojahn, Executive Artistic Director and Founder of ChrisWojahnViolin LLC, a private violin and viola studio serving students in Central Florida and online.

I believe great teaching is about more than simply learning the notes.

It is about learning how to listen, how to practice, how to move efficiently, how to solve technical problems, how to perform with confidence, and ultimately how to become your own musician.

My goal is to give every student a clear and personalized path forward—whether you’re holding a violin for the first time or preparing for an important audition.

The method is built on one central idea:

Students make better progress when they understand what they are doing, why they are doing it, and how to solve problems for themselves.

Rather than simply assigning exercises and asking a student to repeat them, you teach the student to identify the problem, make the appropriate adjustment, develop the adjustment into a reliable skill, and eventually apply that process independently.

1. IDENTIFY

What is actually preventing progress?

Instead of treating the symptom, determine the underlying technical, physical, musical, or practice problem.

2. ADJUST

What needs to change?

Make a purposeful adjustment to setup, posture, movement, bow technique, left-hand organization, coordination, listening, practice strategy, or musical approach.

3. DEVELOP

How do we make the adjustment reliable?

Use deliberate, focused practice to turn the new adjustment into a repeatable skill.

4. APPLY

Can the student recognize and solve the problem independently?

Transfer the understanding to new passages, repertoire, excerpts, and musical situations.

Hi, I’m Chris Wojahn—or Mr. Chris, as my students call me.

As an active professional freelance violinist and a substitute violinist with the Lakeland Symphony Orchestra, I bring direct, real-world performance knowledge into the teaching studio. My performance background across Central Florida includes classical, theatrical, and commercial stages:

Recently I served as the Assistant Concertmaster for World Ballet Company’s 2026 tour production of Swan Lake under conductor Vadim Nikitin and the Lakeland Symphony Orchestra.

That performance experience taught me how valuable clear, practical instruction can be. My goal is to help you understand what’s happening, make the right adjustment, and move forward with greater confidence and efficiency.

But performance is only half of what I love about music.

I love teaching because I remember what it feels like to struggle.

I know what it feels like to hit a wall, doubt your abilities, practice something repeatedly without understanding why it isn’t working, or feel nervous before performing.

That’s what my teaching is built around and watching that confidence develop is one of the reasons I teach!

Welcome to the Studio!

Operating out of a private home studio environment in the Conway neighborhood of Orlando, FL, the studio is strictly dedicated to distraction-free, individualized instruction.

• Convenient Access: Situated in Conway/Orlando, conveniently located approximately 15 minutes from Orlando International Airport (MCO) under typical traffic conditions.
• 🎹 In-Studio Piano: Features a beautiful 1985 Wurlitzer upright piano from the Steinway Society of Central Florida for supporting teaching, live accompaniment, rehearsals, and recital preparation.
• 🔐 Security & Accountability: The studio utilizes a Ring video doorbell and professional video/audio recording equipment as part of its safety and accountability practices. Activities may be recorded in accordance with studio policies and consent requirements.
• 🌍 Global Online Learning: You don’t have to live in Orlando. Through Zoom, online students receive identical high-definition live coaching, detailed structural demonstrations, video-recorded feedback, and technical troubleshooting anywhere in the world.
